Welcome to My Personal Page
I’m raising money in support of Hospice Georgian Triangle by participating in the Hike and Bike for Hospice. I am doing this in memory of my husband, Hugh Lamont.
When Hugh was no longer able to go to dialysis, and I was struggling to care for him at home, he decided that It was time to go to Campbell House. He was palliative, but because of COVID there was a shortage of care givers to help me.
Campbell House gave me the opportunity to switch from the role of caregiver back to that of his wife. I had been concentrating on keeping him alive, and it was now time for the staff there to help him die as peacefully and as comfortably as possible. As a retired RPN who worked with many palliative patients, I knew exactly how well he was being cared for. Their compassion and care also extended to the entire family. I can never thank them enough for everything that they did.
Campbell House is a very important and much-needed service in our community, and the surrounding area. Government funding does not cover all the services they provide.
By making a donation, you are helping to provide compassionate care in the home and at Campbell House for individuals with life-limiting illness or in the last stages of their life. Care programs come at no cost and focus on the physical, emotional and mental wellbeing of the patient, family and caregivers, enhancing quality of life.
Please make a donation today and help me to reach my fundraising goal!
